Nicholas ‘Foxy’ Foxton had always wanted to be a jockey. With his heart set on a life in the saddle, he turned down a sought-after place at the London School of Economics - much to the dismay of his parents and teachers. Nicholas was a natural rider and had a promising career ahead of him. At the young age of twenty-one, he already had a string of wins behind him and looked set to continue this success when his dreams were shattered by a fall that ruined his career and almost cost him his life.
Years later, Nicholas has retrained to be an Independent Financial Advisor but feels like his life lacks the adrenalin-fuelled excitement that he got from horse racing. However, when his friend and colleague is brutally murdered at the Grand National, his life becomes anything but boring.
